Scope New Features Improvements Bug Fixes

Scope

This article outlines the release notes for version 4.0 of the SNAPmobile Android app. Branded apps have already been pushed out to all applicable partners. You may follow these instructions to publish them or contact support for assistance.

 

New Features

Version 4.0.0

  • Introduced Hold & Accept and End & Accept functionality.

Improvements

Version 4.0.3

  • Intentionally removed the “switch to another device” option on iPad/Tablet devices, as this doesn’t currently function as intended. May reintroduce in future versions if reliable.

Version 4.0.0

  • Added dark mode support across all screens and dialogs.
  • Adjusted number formatting in the dial pad to avoid formatting errors of long
    extensions.
  • Implemented reactive presence (BLF UI) on screens with presence indicators.
  • Included prominent disclosure in compliance with Google’s data safety guidelines.

Bug Fixes


Version 4.0.4

  • Resolved an issue that was preventing voicemail, greetings, and answering rules from loading properly in certain versions of the app.

Version 4.0.3

  • Fixed a bug where Caller ID was not visible for a Call Park retrieved by a different user. 
  • Fixed a bug where Caller ID was incorrect after receiving an assisted transfer call. 
  • Fixed a bug with Call History where outbound calls were showing empty names. 
  • Fixed an issue with incoming caller ID display. 
  • Fixed an issue causing contact sorting problems when sorting by last names. 
  • Fixed an issue related to answering Restricted/Anonymous calls. 
  • Resolved an issue that was preventing voicemail, greetings, and answering rules from loading properly in certain versions of the app.

Version 4.0.2

  • Corrected a bug causing crashes when removing participants from group chat.
  • Sent messages are now easily readable in dark mode for SMS.
  • Fixed an issue where inbound calls failed after swiping out of the mobile application.
  • Improved visibility of read/unread message indication.
  • Mobile app now registers and deregisters without overwhelming the server.
  • Now supports the popup kebab menu allowing users to call or message queue agents.
  • Corrected an issue with application registration in specific cases.
  • Fixed major application issues post-update from the Play Store.
  • Resolved an issue with the 4.0.2 build in Google Console, which had inadvertently
    omitted the Office 365 Config reference file, preventing SSO with Office 365.

Version 4.0.1

  • Addressed several crash cases detected via Crashlytics

Version 4.0.0

  • Enabled SMS messaging to non-contacts.
  • Ensured DTMF codes are sent during conferences.
  • Resolved error banner issues during calls from the native dialer.
  • Stun keep-alive functionality disabled.
  • Fixed call failure issue caused by interruptions from native mobile calls.
  • Routed '988' emergency calls to the native dialer on SIM-enabled devices.
  • Ensured app remains deregistered when battery optimizations are disabled.
  • Updated theme so login buttons reflect the primary color.
  • Added permissions for proper audio handling on Android 14+ in both background and
    foreground.
  • Enabled adaptive icon support for alignment with user themes.
  • Corrected crash issues on Google Pixel 6 with Android 14
