Understanding Enhanced Voicemail & Dial Translation for AAMain

When enhanced voicemail is enabled, users will get a prompt of "To Dial Another Extension, Press 1" before leaving a voicemail but after the Voicemail greeting. Typically, Pressing 1 sends the caller to an Auto Attendant, routed through a domain Dial Translation called AAMain. This Dial Translation routes to the first created Auto Attendant in the Domain.

However, as a fallback, a domain with no Auto Attendant would have no AAMain Dial Translation. Therefore, it will default to AAMain within Cloud PBX & Features. This default Dial Translation will send the caller to the Company Directory upon pressing 1. See this Dial Translation below:

As such, any domain that wishes to have their Enhanced Voicemail "Press 1" prompt route to the Company Directory can simply have the AAMain Dial Translation within the domain dial plan disabled, like so:

Disabling this Dial Translation at the domain dial plan will cause the caller to default to the Cloud PBX & Features Dial Translation, allowing them to access the company directory.
