Find IP Address Provision Phone Troubleshooting

Scope

Intended Audience: All End Users

The following steps will allow you to provision a Cisco desk phone manually for use with your Hosted PBX service.

 

Requirements

  • Access to Cisco web GUI
  • If you or your provider has not already done so, Add Your Device to the Manager Portal
  • Global Username and Global Password provided by support. 
 

 

Find IP Address

  1. From the Cisco phone select Setup
  2. Select Network > IPv4 Status
  3. Note the IP Address

Provision Phone

  1. Using any web browser navigate to the IP address from the above step
  2. Click on Admin Login > Advanced
  3. Click on Voice > Provisioning
  4. Set Provision Enable to Yes
  5. Set Profile Rule to [<Global_Username>:<Global_Password>]http://ndp.ucaasnetwork.com/cfg/spa$MA.cfg
    ***Replace <Global Username> and <Global Password> with the appropriate values provided by support. 
  6. Set Transport Protocol to http
  7. Click Submit All Changes
  8. You will be redirected to this page
  9. The device will reboot and provision. Once you've confirmed the device has provisioned successfully, you may close the webpage

Troubleshooting

If your phone does not provision, try using http://162.217.10.24/cfg/spa$MA.cfg

Make sure your phone has the correct time. If not be sure to add an NTP server such as us.pool.ntp.org
