Intended Audience: All users

This article outlines how to enable the Web Interface of a Polycom device from the phone's settings

 

Requirements

  • Access to a Polycom device

Note: CCX 400 phones running software prior to UC Software 6.2.11 don’t support access to a system web interface.

 

How to Enable the Web Interface of a Polycom

  1. In your Polycom device, go to Settings
  2. Select Advanced
  3. Enter the Admin Password (if it is not yet provisioned the default is 456)
  4. Navigate to Web Server Configuration
  5. Enable the Web Server
  6. Configure Web Mode: (Choose the desired mode: HTTP Only, HTTPS Only, or HTTP/HTTPS. HTTPS provides more security than HTTP.)
  7. Save Changes

Accessing the Web Interface

  1. After enabling the web server, open a web browser on a computer connected to the same network as the phone.
  2. Enter the phone's IP address into the browser's address bar.
  3. Log in with the user credentials to access the Polycom Web Configuration Utility.
