Configuring a New Alarm Viewing Past Alarms Viewing Alarm Stats

Scope

The following article will show you how to enable and configure an Alarm on the YMCS console

 

Requirements

  • Access to YMCS Console 
     
  • Online and Registered Device(s)
 

 

Configuring a New Alarm

  1. Login to the YMCS console
  2. Open the drop-down menu for Alarm Management and click on Alarm Strategy
  3. Once there click on Add Strategy
  4. Under Set Basic Information fill out the following information
    • Strategy - Name of the Alarm
    • Alarm Strategy -
      • Email - Will send an email to the specified address
      • In-Station - Will notify when logged into YMCS console
    • Notification Frequency - Determines when the Alarm will be sent out
    • Status - Enables or disabled the alarm
  5. Click on Next Step to move on to the next page
  6. The Alarm Receiver page will allow you to configure which accounts will receive alarm notifications
  7. Tick the Select box next to the account/email that will be notified when this alarm goes off
  8. Click on Next Step
     
  9. Under Alarm Content, choose what actions you would like to trigger it
  10. The Devices step will allow you to determine which devices will trigger the alarm when the previously set conditions are met
    1. You can configure the alarm to be trigger by all phones, a specified site or group, and you can configure specific phones as well
  11. Once done click on Finish to add the alarm

Viewing Past Alarms

  1. Navigate to Alarm List
  2. Here you will be able to view any previously trigger an alarm, you will be able to Delete them, mark as Resolved or Active, as well as mark them as Ignored

Viewing Alarm Stats


  1. Navigate to Alarm Statistics
  2. Here you will be able to view any active alarms, total amount of alarms, daily alarm average, as well as a time line of active alarms sorted by severity
