This article will illustrate how to create a post across multiple channels in teams to increase visibility.
Requirements
- Access to Teams
Create a Post in Teams
Go to the desired channel, and select Start a Post.
Add Multiple Channels to Posts
- Within the new post, look for the settings button next to the close button in the top right of the New Post Screen.
- Within the setting drop-down, under Post in, select Multiple channels.
- Once selected, a ‘+’ sign will appear above Add a subject.
- Click ‘+’ and add desired channels.
- Once selected, click Update.
Note: You can add additional channels or remove channels above the subject line of the post before it's posted.
- Compose your Post and click Post once complete.
Resuming a Video / Meeting Log in a Past Post
Staying organized and keeping critical data is important but often difficult to do as new posts are created often. Resuming the video meeting log in a prior post is a better option than creating a new ‘second post’ to seek further guidance/ further the topic of discussion via video.
Example: Let us say I met with Britney on a high-priority request. A few hours later, I have questions on a high-priority request. I can reenter the post to revitalize/resume the initial meeting.
- Find the desired Post you wish to resume the meeting in.
- Select Reply.
- Select Meet Now from the tool bar.
- This will craft a new meeting in the old post, thus resuming the video meeting log.
- You're done!
