Datagate: Import HaloPSA Customers into Datagate

Scope Requirements: Matching an Existing Datagate Customer with an Existing HaloPSA Customer Import HaloPSA Customer Sites into Datagate

Scope

Intended Audience: White Lable Partners

Follow these steps to import your current HaloPSA clients into Datagate

 

Requirements:

  • Access to Datagate
  • Access to HaloPSA
  • HaloPSA Integration Set Up Complete
 
  1. Log into HaloPSA
  2. Create the “Datagate” Custom Fields in HaloPSA
    1. Navigate to Configuration > Customer Objects > Custom Fields
    2. Entity: Client
    3. Field Name: CFDatagate
    4. Field Label: Datagate
    5. Click Save
    6. The Custom Field should look like the below image 
  3. Create the “Kits” Custom Field in HaloPSA
    1. Navigate to Configuration > Customer Objects > Custom Fields
    2. Entity: Item
    3. Field Name: CFIsKit
    4. Field Label: Is Kit
    5. Type of Field: Checkbox
    6. Click Save
    7. Field Type: Checkbox
  4. Create the customers in HaloPSA as usual
  5. In Custom Fields in the customer's profile, set Datagate & Kits to Yes
    1. Do this for all customers you want to import into Datagate
  6. Log in to Datagate
  7. Navigate to Customers
  8. Click the Gears Icon
  9. Click the HaloPSA Icon
  10. Click Confirm

Your customers should now be synced into Datagate from HaloPSA

 

Matching an Existing Datagate Customer with an Existing HaloPSA Customer

  1. Log in to HaloPSA
     
  2. Navigate to Customer Details and notate the HaloPSA ID in the URL
     
  3. Log in to Datagate
     
  4. Navigate to the matching customer Details Tab

     
  5. Enter the HaloPSA ID from the above steps into Datagate

     
  6. Click Save

     

Your HaloPSA client's profile is now linked with the client's Datagate profile

 

Import HaloPSA Customer Sites into Datagate

  1. Customer Sites will import when the Product Sync runs or by manually running the Customer Sync.
